Meet Dr. Allen
Dr. Dwane Allen, Ph.D., is the Chief Executive Officer and Clinical Director of BHFS Medical & Behavioral Services, leading the organization from its Burleson headquarters. Since January 2003, Dr. Allen has overseen both medical and behavioral health operations, ensuring integrated, quality care across all services for over 22 years. Dr. Allen is a distinguished medical researcher with advanced graduate training in neuroscience, biomedical research, education, and statistics. His academic and professional background reflects a rare blend of clinical, scientific, and quantitative expertise, allowing him to approach complex health challenges from multiple perspectives.
His interdisciplinary expertise encompasses the study and treatment of psychiatric disorders, nutritional science, wellness, and metabolic dysfunction. In particular, he has focused on understanding how biological, psychological, and environmental factors interact to shape both mental health and chronic disease outcomes.
Dr. Allen’s research is characterized by a data-driven and integrative approach that emphasizes the translation of scientific evidence into practical, patient-centered applications.
